Alright OPPO, I’ve had some Tito’s Vodka and some PBR and its been a great Saturday. I also got really sweaty earlier driving my car to get a haircut and it sucked. I have daily driven a 02 Viper GTS for the last 3 months and it is quite harsh to say the least. What is the least practical daily driver that you can think of?

Dogs and cars are my two favorite things (in that order)

YJ Wrangler 2.5. Absolutely awful to drive, not very reliable, not roomy, uncomfortable, strong points are legally less useful than a Viper, and terribly put together.

Cramped, uncomfortable, slow, dangerous, awful ride, built like shit, not reliable.

Unless you put the time/money into building them, they’re not even that good off the road either

I’ll always remember in high school taking my little 15 lb poodle to the Vet in my mom’s grand marquis and having to slam on the brakes because of a driver in front me of me. The dog flew into the dash like crazy. He was okay, but the mental video is ingrained in my mind.

wow, that is a great point. The truth is unless you have kids, you hardly ever use the back seats. When we deployed my friend left his YJ at the unit’s HQs and his wife was supposed to pick it up. needless to say, the YJ crapped out on the wife and she couldnt remove it so she had to spend lots of money on it to get it fixed and removed so the husband wouldnt get in trouble while we were deployed. He sold it for pennies on the dollar for what he payed for it

They took the Cup R and slapped some headlights on it to make it road legal. No cargo space, no give in the suspension, this car on a normal road would destroy your spine in a matter of days. They basically took the Exige and turned it up to 11.

I don’t know how people can endure it. I ran a race out there in the summer once and although the air was supposedly 118-ish, we were reading over 150 with IR thermometers on many surfaces. The sun beating on it would make it unbearable just to sit down.

So he asked me what I was looking at, and I told him. Chevy SS, M5, CTS, Taurus SHO, etc. He told me not to buy anything until I test drove a Kia Soul. I laughed in his face, and went to talk to someone else.

the one thing I like about the Viper over the Elise is the fit and finish of the car. The Elise is a handmade British car that was very affordable; you get what you pay for. I always had the radio on so the rattling was less audible.
